Amish father, two sons killed in silo accident on Centre Co. farm

Potter Twp., Centre Co. (WJAC) — 2nd UPDATE (2:40 P.M.) Centre County coroner Scott Sayers has identified the three victims of Wednesday morning's fatal silo accident in Centre Hall. Sayers says three members of an Amish family were killed when they became trapped inside the silo. Authorities identified the victims as 47-year-old Andrew Beiler and his two sons, ages 14 and 19. Sayers says the three died as a result of asphyxiation from the gasses inside the silo, and their deaths have been ruled accidental. [Read More]

Lancaster County, PA — A Lancaster County teen, accused of stabbing her disabled sister to death, will stand trial as an adult. On Monday, a judge denied Claire Miller's request to move the charges to juvenile court. AASD schedules 'home learning day' so teachers, school staff can get vaccinated

Altoona Area School District students will participate in a "home learning day" next Thursday to allow the district's teachers and staff to get vaccinated.
