ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — The Eldorado Kiwanis Club in Altoona is gearing up for its annual Christmas tree sale, one they've done for more than 50 years.
The sale benefits the Teener baseball league and the Miracle League's special needs baseball field in Blair County.
Many types of trees are available, and the money is used to cover the costs of upkeeping the fields.
"The money goes to help keep the field in good shape. The Miracle League's surface has already been redone at least once since it’s been put in. The fields need upkeep,” said Ed Schrift, a member of the club.
Club members say they have around 200 trees to sell.
The club is located along the 5,000 block of California Avenue in Altoona.
