Johnstown Save-A-Lot closed for rodent infestation

The Save-A-Lot store located in the West End neighborhood of Johnstown is closed due to a rodent infestation.

According to a report from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, the grocery store, which is located along Sheridan Street, was closed Thursday after inspectors found multiple violations.

Officials say the violations included the discovery of several rodent droppings throughout the store, as well as several bags of trail mix and chips that had been chewed through.

Authorities say the store is to remain closed until conditions are approved by the department.
