Local landlord association hosts community networking event

A landlord outreach event was held Monday in Cambria County.

The event was hosted by the Greater Johnstown Landlord Association and was used to introduce new landlords to the organization while also welcoming previous landlords that they know back to the area.

Four experts spoke at the event and talked about their unique perspectives to the challenges that are faced by landlords.

Organizers say agencies providing housing assistance are changing or coming to an end, so they say it's important for landlords and tenants to know what type of assistance is available.

"By joining together and helping each other be more effective and profitable, we can serve the community. We don't want to be landlords with a bad reputation, we want to work together, and we want to help our tenants maintain their housing,” said the GJLA’s executive chairman Rich Hudec.

The Greater Johnstown Landlord association is a non-profit that says it's dedicated to the growth and success of landlords in the Johnstown area.
