BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A family fun tradition continues this year in Bedford County after a year-long hiatus due to COVID-19, the Bedford County Fair.

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — According to multiple reports, now former University of Pittsburgh quarterback Kedon Slovis entered the NCAA transfer portal Monday and will not be returning to the Panthers next season.
Slovis spent three seasons with USC prior to transferring to Pitt this past February.
He threw for nearly 2,400 yards, 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season as the Panthers finished with a record of 8-4 and a trip to the Sun Bowl.

Richland Township Bed Bath and Beyond appears to be closing
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A Bed Bath and Beyond in Cambria County looks to be closing its doors.
Signs have been posted in the Richland Township store's windows, advertising that there is a storewide clearance event.
The signs also say the store's lease is expiring at that specific location only.
In April, the New Jersey-based company said it would close 40 stores.
In an earnings call Wednesday, the national retailer said it will be shuttering an additional 20 stores by the end of the fiscal year, bringing the total to 60.

Somerset Co. woman dies after tractor malfunction at Union County West End Fair
A Somerset County woman is dead after a malfunction with a tractor during the Union County West End Fair in Laurelton Friday evening, state police say.
According to a press release, the 33-year-old woman was a spectator at the tractor-pull event at around 8:30 p.m. when the vehicle being driven malfunctioned.
Union County Coroner Dominick T. Adamo identified the woman as Brandy Horner.
State police said an exhaust wheel within a turbo housing of the tractor became dislodged and was ejected from its manifold.

2 parents smoked meth in front of children on 14 occasions
ALTOONA, Pa. - Two Altoona parents are facing dozens of child endangerment charges stemming from an ongoing child pornography investigation being conducted by Altoona police.
Angela Meadows, 35, is facing 62 counts of endangering the welfare of children, and Joshua Dickson, 32, is facing 59 counts of endangering the welfare of children.
According to a complaint, Meadows contacted police about an ongoing children pornography investigation stemming from the arrest of Stephen Apostulo.
