SCHELLSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — The Bedford County Humane Society held its annual "PupArt" event Sunday afternoon. Judge dismisses charges against Westmont grad accused of killing IUP frat brother

INDIANA - A Westmont Hilltop graduate accused of homicide in the death of his fraternity brother at IUP had all charges dismissed. According to a court order, charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault were dismissed against 19-year-old Brady Distefano. Distefano's attorney, Tom Dickey, argued that there was insufficient evidence to have the charges go to trial and a judge agreed. Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint in Johnstown; robbers still at large

According to police, the robbery happened on Corrine Avenue just before 1 a.m. Monday after two men called for a cab. Volleyball tournament to raise money for local high school volleyball teams

The 2nd annual Appalachian Winter Classic volleyball tournament began Saturday looking to raise money for two local high school programs according to the organizers. Responders rescue 2 babies from 3rd floor in Hazleton fire

HAZLETON, Pa. (AP) — Police officers and firefighters responding to a fire in downtown Hazleton rescued two babies from a third-floor window, carrying them down a ladder to safety. The Standard-Speaker of Hazleton says the blaze started late Friday morning at Prestigio Restaurant. Windber man who pled guilty to killing wife, burying her under home sentenced

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — A Windber man who pled guilty to killing his wife and burying her under their home was sentenced Thursday, according to the Somerset County District Attorney's office. Officials say James Kline, 50, was sentenced to serve 6-to-40 years in prison in the death of his wife, Cora Kline, in the spring of 2019.
