Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Johnstown's boxing scene could be getting some national attention.
Officials with Kastle Boxing say a boxing show is being planned for 1st Summit Arena on May 13th.
Organizers say the show will feature fighter Tresean Wiggins.
Wiggins, who moved to Johnstown a decade ago, won the World Boxing Association/North American Boxing Association welter-weight title by knockout last January.
He's since defended it twice and is now looking to give back to the community.

Penn State's Barkley impresses in winter workout
STATE COLLEGE---Penn State running back Saquon Barkley set freshman records this past season for the Nittany Lions.
He didn't disappoint in Wednesday's final winter workout. Barkley tied a team record by squatting 500 lbs., seven times. He also bench-pressed 390 lbs. and ran a 4.38 second forty-yard dash.
"This kid is for real," Penn State Director Of Performance Enhancement Dwight Galt said after the workout.

Traffic jammed as workers begin removing I-95 overpass scorched in fuel truck fire
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Workers on Friday began removing a bridge over a Connecticut highway that was damaged in a fiery crash involving a gasoline tanker truck — a project expected to keep both sides of Interstate 95 closed through the weekend and extend a traffic nightmare on the major artery linking New England and New York.
Crews took down metal fencing on the span in Norwalk before two large excavators — one on each side of the highway — began demolishing the concrete sides of the structure.

5 injured in crash involving CamTran bus in Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Five people were injured in a crash Tuesday involving a sports utility vehicle and a CamTran bus in Johnstown, officials say.
Cambria County 911 says the crash happened at Jacoby Street and Solomon Street.
Two people who were in the SUV, along with three people from the bus, were taken to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries, authorities say.
Officials haven’t confirmed the cause of the crash.

Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival celebrates 14th year
Saturday welcomed the 14th year of the Bluegrass Festival at Laurel Hill State Park.

Over $65K raised for local cancer patients & families during Johnstown Walk of Hope
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The Heinrich family has been walking in the Johnstown Walk of Hope since it began in 2016.
They have a new motivation to walk this year.
"We lost our Aunt Susie to pancreatic cancer just a few weeks ago," said Rob Heinrich.
They walked in her honor Saturday.
"Susie was a wonderful person full of light and smiles and always found the humor in everything," Rob said.

UPJ mourns passing of former standout wrestler Leo Feist
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is mourning the loss of one of its former standout athletes.
Leo Feist, a former NCAA regional champion, passed away last Sunday at the age of 60.
Feist, a Cambria County native, graduated from Conemaugh Valley High School and went on to become a four-year starter at UPJ.
Feist was a member of the Mountain Cats' 1982 Regional Championship team.

ALTOONA - "The Bridge on the River Kwai" -- the 1957 Academy Award-winning motion picture -- is a fictional story based on a book inspired by actual events.
One 93-year-old veteran from Altoona played a role in the actual event during World War II.
Clyde Saylor served in the Army Air National Guard when allied bombers destroyed the bridge in April 1945, delivering a blow to Japanese forces who were determined to advance their occupation of Thailand and Burma.

Crews called to abandoned house fire near Fallentimber
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Crews from multiple counties responded to an early morning fire in Cambria County Tuesday.
According to county dispatchers, the blaze was called in shortly after 6 a.m.
Glendale Fire Chief Adam Rydbom says crews arrived to the 100 block of Market St. in Reade Township to find flames coming out of the two-story building.
According to dispatchers, the Fallentimber home was abandoned, so no one was inside.
