State College man sentenced to max of 3 years in jail for causing fatal hit-and-run

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Centre County say a State College man has been sentenced for his role in a fatal hit-and-run crash near Millheim in April of 2020. Court authorities say Christopher Hort has been sentenced to serve 363 days to 3 years in county jail for hitting and killing 23-year-old John David King, who was riding a scooter along the roadside. Undocumented immigrant to stand trial in murder of Michigan girlfriend

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — An undocumented immigrant accused of murdering his girlfriend and leaving her body along US-131 will be going to trial. Wednesday, a judge found enough evidence to send Brandon Ortiz-Vite, a 25-year-old citizen of Mexico, to trial on charges of felony murder, open murder, carjacking, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm. Bedford Co. man facing more charges for sexually assaulting girl after posting bail

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Bedford County man arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl is facing more charges after sexually assaulting the girl again while out on bail, troopers say. According to state police, 24-year-old Daniel Taylor, of Broad Top, is facing 432 more counts related to sexual assault and corruption of minors. Troopers say Taylor was first charged in February of 2020. The Forest Hills Ranger Pride Wrestling program won a Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling championship back on March 3.

Two weeks later, the Forest Hills wrestling program celebrated in style.
