Core Spaces has now shelled out over $100 million dollars on State College apartment buildings, and they also have plans to build a seventh. PA Game Commission releases results of first 3 days of bear harvest

Pennsylvania Game Commission officials have released the preliminary results of the first three days of the 2018 bear harvest. The three-day total is 1,833 bears harvested, which the game commission said is a 12 percent increase over the 1,628 bears taken during the 2017 season’s first three days. Officials said bears have been taken in 54 counties so far during the statewide season. Route 219 expansion project nears completion as officials host public discussion on last leg of proj

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — PennDOT and the Maryland Department of Transportation hosted another open house Thursday to discuss the Route 219 project. The meeting was held at the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department and allowed the public to not only look at the proposed plans but also provide feedback on the project. Boswell man who fatally struck bicyclist in Ligonier Twp. sentenced to max of 10 years in prison, DA

Westmoreland County, PA — Authorities in Westmoreland County say a Boswell man who pleaded guilty to fatally striking a bicyclist in Ligonier Township nearly four years ago has been sentenced. Officials with the Westmoreland County District Attorney's office say Adam Ulrich, now age 45, was sentenced Tuesday to spend 5 to 10 years in prison. Woman dies after crash on RT 322 in Philipsburg

PHILIPSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Philipsburg. Pennsylvania State Police in Rockview identified the victim as Taylor Harpster, 27, of Philipsburg. The crash between an SUV and tractor trailer happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Railroad Street and East Pine Street in Philipsburg Borough.
